A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION TRIGGER-COCKING REVOLVER, MODEL 'TRANTER'S DOUBLE-TRIGGER, serial no. 4791T,
circa 1852, with blued 6 1/4in. octagonal barrel, the top-strap signed 'W. & J. KAVANAGH, DANE ST, DUBLIN', engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraving at breech, borderline and scroll engraved frame, plain five-shot cylinder with engraved rope-twist border to the leading edge, spur-less hammer, chequered walnut grip and provision for a detachable rammer on the left hand side of barrel (present in the case), strong traces of finish, complete with an associated walnut storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a bullet mould, powder flask, cap-tin and a reproduction turn-screw
